Privacy,in plain language.
Rosewood Systems Inc. operates How To Muse. This policy explains what this pre-launch website collects, why we use it, and the choices available to you.
Effective and last updated: September 6, 2026Who is responsible
Rosewood Systems Inc., a Delaware corporation (Delaware file number 10310067) operating the How To Muse website, is responsible for the personal information described in this policy.
Our business address is 1401 Pennsylvania Ave, Suite 105, Box 1891, Wilmington, Delaware 19806, USA. You can reach us at contact@howtomuse.com or +1 940 623 6276.
Information we collect
You can browse howtomuse.com without creating an account. If you join the waitlist, we collect the email address you submit and information needed to record your request. If you contact us, we receive the information in your message and the contact details you use.
If you reserve Muse, Stripe collects the contact, billing, payment, device, and transaction information needed to host checkout and process the one-time $2 USD payment. Rosewood Systems Inc. receives transaction and contact details from Stripe, but does not receive your full payment-card number. Stripe sends a receipt to the email supplied at checkout.
Optional PostHog analytics loads only after you accept analytics cookies. It may process a pseudonymous browser identifier, device and browser details, approximate location derived from network information, pages viewed, and limited site interactions. We have disabled autocapture, session replay, and person profiles; we send only the specific product-interest events we define.
Why we use information
We use personal information to:
- send waitlist and product updates you asked to receive;
- process and administer reservations, refunds, and support;
- respond to messages and accessibility requests;
- protect the website and prevent fraud or misuse;
- understand site performance when you consent to analytics; and
- meet accounting, tax, consumer-protection, and other legal duties.
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we rely on your consent for optional analytics and requested marketing, steps taken at your request and performance of our reservation agreement for reservations, our legitimate interests in support, security, and improving our business, and compliance with legal obligations. You can withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing.
Providers and international processing
We use Loops for waitlist communications, PostHog for consent-based website analytics, and Stripe for hosted reservation checkout and payment processing. Those companies may process information in the United States and other countries under their applicable terms and data-protection commitments.
Our PostHog endpoint is configured through a US-hosted PostHog proxy. Personal information transferred from the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, Switzerland, or Israel may be processed in countries with different privacy laws. Where required, we and our providers rely on recognized transfer mechanisms and safeguards, such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.
We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights or safety, or in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to applicable safeguards.
Cookies, selling, and sharing
Necessary browser storage remembers your cookie choice. Optional analytics remains off until you accept it and stays off when we detect Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track. Read the Cookie Policy to see the storage we use and change your choice.
We do not sell personal information, use it for targeted advertising, or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. If our practices change, we will update this policy and provide legally required choices before the change applies.
Retention and security
We keep an inactive waitlist record for up to one year after the last interaction, unless you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it sooner. We may retain a limited suppression record so we can honor an unsubscribe request. Reservation, refund, accounting, and tax records are kept for the periods required by applicable law and legitimate recordkeeping needs.
We retain PostHog analytics event data for up to one year. Messages and support records are retained only as long as reasonably needed to resolve the request and document the outcome.
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no internet service or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or receive a copy of personal information; object to certain processing; withdraw consent; and appeal or complain to a privacy regulator. California and other US residents may also have rights to know, correct, delete, limit, or opt out of certain uses. We do not discriminate against people for exercising applicable privacy rights.
Email contact@howtomuse.com to make a request. We may need to verify your identity before responding. You may use an authorized agent where the law permits. EEA residents can complain to their local supervisory authority; Israeli residents can contact the Privacy Protection Authority; and US residents can contact their state regulator.
Adults only and pre-launch product
This website, waitlist, reservation process, and communications are intended only for adults aged 18 or older. They are not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children through this website. If you believe a child submitted information, contact us so we can delete it.
Muse is pre-launch and is not currently collecting camera, voice, movement, child-profile, or learning data from customers. Before a child-facing product or service begins collecting information, we will provide a separate product privacy notice and implement the parental-consent and family controls required for that service.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy when the website, product, providers, or legal requirements change. We will post the updated policy here and provide additional notice when required. The date at the top identifies the current version.
