Reservation terms
Reserve clearly. Decide later.
A single, refundable $2 USD payment holds a unit from the founding release. It is not a Muse purchase, a subscription, or a delivery promise.
Effective and last updated: September 10, 2026Seller and agreement
These Reservation Terms form an agreement between you and Rosewood Systems Inc., a Delaware corporation with Delaware file number 10310067, operating How To Muse. Our business address is 1401 Pennsylvania Ave, Suite 105, Box 1891, Wilmington, DE 19806, USA.
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into this agreement. By paying the reservation fee, you confirm that you have read and accepted these terms.
What the $2 payment means
The payment is a one-time, fully refundable reservation fee of $2 USD. It holds a Muse unit from the founding release for you. It is not a subscription, it is not the purchase price of Muse, and it does not fix a delivery date.
Payment is processed through Stripe's hosted checkout. Stripe sends a receipt to the email address provided at checkout. No additional payment is due unless you later choose to enter a separate final purchase.
Reservation benefits
An active reservation gives the person who made it:
- priority access to the first production release;
- 40% off the base launch price of one Muse unit; and
- personal onboarding if that person completes a final purchase.
The discount excludes taxes, shipping, subscriptions, services, accessories, and optional add-ons. It is personal, non-transferable, has no cash value, and cannot be combined with another offer unless we say otherwise in writing.
Refunds and cancellation
You may cancel for any reason and receive a full refund of the $2 reservation fee at any time before completing a final purchase. Email contact@howtomuse.com from the address used for the reservation and ask to cancel. We do not charge a cancellation fee.
We will initiate an approved refund to the original payment method within seven business days. Your bank or payment provider may take additional time to post it. If we cancel the founding release or decide not to offer you an opportunity to purchase Muse, we will automatically refund the reservation fee.
This voluntary refund promise is in addition to, and does not limit, mandatory cancellation, withdrawal, refund, or other consumer rights that apply where you live.
If you are an EU or EEA consumer, you may also withdraw from the reservation contract within 14 days after it is made without giving a reason. Israeli consumers retain their applicable remote-sale cancellation rights. Our no-fee, full-refund promise is intended to be more favorable and remains available after those statutory periods until final purchase.
To cancel, you may use this wording: “I give notice that I cancel my Muse reservation.” Include your name, reservation email, reservation date if known, and the date of your request. A signature is needed only if you send the notice on paper.
Final purchase comes later
Muse is in active development. Before any final purchase, we will present the product configuration, included features, full price, taxes, shipping charges, required or optional service costs, estimated delivery window, warranty information, and the terms that apply to that purchase.
You can review that information and decide whether to buy. If you do not want to proceed, you may request your reservation refund. A final purchase will require a separate affirmative order and payment.
Availability and communications
We currently accept reservations from eligible adults in the United States, the European Union and European Economic Area, and Israel. A reservation holds a unit from the founding release for you. It does not guarantee a delivery date, final features, compatibility, or price, and final product sales will be offered only in places where we determine Muse can lawfully and practically be sold and supported. If we cannot offer you a unit, we will refund your reservation fee as described in section 04.
We will use the email associated with your reservation for receipts, material reservation updates, purchase invitations, and other transaction-related communications. Marketing messages remain subject to the choices described in our Privacy Policy.
Liability and governing law
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Rosewood Systems Inc. is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising only from a reservation, and its aggregate liability relating to a reservation will not exceed the amount you paid. These limits do not apply where liability cannot legally be limited, including mandatory consumer protections.
Delaware law governs these terms without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Nothing in these terms deprives you of mandatory protections or a forum available under the consumer laws of the country or state where you live.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms for future reservations. The terms accepted when you paid will continue to govern your reservation unless you expressly agree to a change. We will communicate material updates affecting an existing reservation.
